IRB Intro Post #1

For my first Independent Reading Book, I chose the book Fever Pitch by Nick Hornby. I chose this book because it is an attempt to capture the global obsession with soccer, the sport I have played since I could walk. After reading the summary on the back of the book and a couple pages of the introduction, I was hooked. I could already tell that Hornby writes in a very humorous way, which will definitely keep me entertained. I can't wait to start reading!
